our weekend...

I hope everyone had a GREAT 4th of July weekend!!

Ben planned a surprise trip to Charlotte, NC for us this weekend! We stayed with our friend BJ and had an amazing time!! Here is a recap of our weekend :)

Our first stop was the Penguin Drive In... YUMMY!!! They are known for their fried pickles so of course we had to try them!

I had the pimento cheese burger topped with fried pickles... it was sooo good!!!

Next we went to "the boardwalk" and BJ introduced us to Ben's newest obbsession :) Frutti Cup

Saturday we decided to do a little shopping... our first stop was IKEA...

Ben & I had never been so it was pretty neat to see all the amazing things they had.

Sunday we headed back to good ole SC so I did alot of this on the way home...

I am reading "The 5 Love Languages" and it is teaching me soo much!! I reccomend this book to anyone who is engaged, married, or even dating!!

Monday we went to Ben's parents house for a cook out. We had BBQ chicken that was to die for and this was for dessert...

Fresh strawberries, frozen yogurt, and fresh blackberries... YUM!!!

After dinner we hung out in the back yard and let the dogs play... our 8lb dachshund thought he could take on the 120lb bloodhound...

But the best part about this weekend was... we are now past the 100 day mark on our countdown... so excited!!

much love,

  5. Stopping by from Jenna's Journey! I've never had fried pickles before - we don't really have those in the northwest. They look right up my alley! And we loved the 5 love languages book too! It's helped us understand each other so much.
